Northeast Asia Forum was founded in 1992. It is the authoritative academic journal jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and by Jilin University. It focuses on high-level research results in the fields of politics, economy, history, culture and regional cooperation in Northeast Asia. It has been published globally in both Chinese and English (online).
Professor Zhu Xianping, editor-in-chief of Northeast Asia Forum, is the academic leader in regional economics at Jilin University and enjoys special allowances from the State Council. He once served as Dean of the Northeast Asian Studies College. He is currently the Director of the Sino-Russian Regional Cooperation Research Center of the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of Jilin University, the Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Northeast Asian Studies College, and the President of the Russian Eastern European Central Asian Association of Jilin Province.
