The Institute of History and Culture of the Northeast Asian Studies College has 8 researchers, including 6 professors and 2 associate professors. The construction of the first-level discipline of world history focuses on Russian history and Japanese history. Since its establishment, the scholars have always insisted on going abroad and inviting foreign peers to come, and they have achieved fruitful academic cooperation and exchanges with Russian and Japanese scholars, and built a collaborative historical research center with Moscow State University. Since 2015, they have undertaken one major project, one key project, four general projects funded by national social science; and two projects of the Ministry of Education. All together 95 papers and translations of papers were published in CSSCI journals. One of the papers and nine translations were reproduced in the full text of Xinhua Digest. Six papers were reproduced in the full text of China Social Science Digest. Besides, they have published five monographs and seven translations. Three papers won a second prize and one paper won a third prize in the Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award. One paper won a first prize and 2 papers won a second prize in the Changchun Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award.
