Symposium on Current Situation in Northeast Asia and China's National Security Held Successfully
On September 23rd, the seminar on Current Situation in Northeast Asia and China's National Security was held in Shanghai. The conference was co-organized by the Editorial Board of Northeast Asia Forum in Jilin University, the Office of Development and Planning in Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and the Center for Political and Social Security Research of the Shanghai Institute of Global Security Governance in Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and co-organized by the Shanghai Student Security Education and Research Center. More than 20 experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, University of International Relations, the Party School of the C.P.C. Jiangsu Committee, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Tech University, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Shanghai Institute of International Studies, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Jilin University and other universities and research institutions participated in the conference, which was held both online and offline.
Wu Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Tech University and Distinguished Researcher of the Center for Political and Social Security Research of the Shanghai Institute of Global Security Governance in Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and Wu Hao, Director of Northeast Asian Studies College of Jilin University and Editor-in-Chief of Northeast Asia Forum, delivered speeches on behalf of the organizers, jointly expressing their desire to continue their good cooperation in the field of Northeast Asia research and national security studies discipline building.
The conference was divided into two sessions, focusing on the themes of Indo-Pacific Strategy and Political Trends in the Region and New Situation in Northeast Asia and Prospects for Sino-South Korea Relations. During the conference, the participating experts and scholars made wonderful speeches, exchanged their views, collided with each other's wisdom and achieved fruitful results.
Finally, Wu Hao, editor-in-chief of Northeast Asia Forum, and Shi Qibao, Director of the Office of Development and Planning in Shanghai University of Political Science and Law and Vice President of the Shanghai Institute of Global Security Governance, jointly summarized the content of the conference and expected that Jilin University and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law could further strengthen their ties and deepen their cooperation in the future and make new contributions to the development of relevant disciplines and research work of both universities.
