The "Excellence Project" of Northeast AsianStudies College successfully completed the visit to Russia
From October 12th to 26th, 2019, "The Excellence Projectfor improving Jilin University Students’ International Competitiveness (abbreviated as the Excellence Project)" team of the Northeast Asian Studies College went to Russia to carry out a 15-day research.
In order to improve the international competence and promote the construction of "double first-class" of Jilin University, the project was set up with a total of 8 PhD and master students majoring in the world history. The team was well prepared for the overseas research targeting at broadening their horizons, improving the level of scientific research, cultivating theoretical literacy, and forming a solid foundation for the production of more high-quality academic results.
During the 15-day visit, the team visited Moscow State University, the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian State Lenin Library, and the Russian State Archives. They joined the med lectures, went to archives and conducted academic seminars as planned.
The "Excellence Project" team had attracted extensive attention from all parties in the History Department of Moscow University. Five famous historians have given lectures and participated in discussions, including two academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
