Short Biography
Professor Hou Li obtained a bachelor degree in Economics in 1995 and a PhD degree in Economics in 2008, both from Jilin University. She served as an editor in the Editorial Department of "Northeast Asia Forum" during 1995-2002. After that, She has been working at Institute of Population, Resources and Environment in Jilin University as a researcher. She was promoted to associate professor in 2006 and professor in 2019, and then was appointed as supervisor of PhD students in 2020. She had worked at University at Albany, State University of New York as a senior visiting scholar from July 2012 to July 2013.
Research Interest
Professor Hou Li has long been engaged in the research of urban economy, population economy, social and economic development in Northeast China and other fields, and has made significant research results in urbanization and land resource utilization, population and economic development in Northeast China, etc.
