Short Biography
Associate Professor Xu Bo was born in Changchun, Jilin Province, China in 1981. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from Northeast Normal University in 2005 and a master's degree in economics from Northeast Normal University in 2007. From 2007 to 2015, he worked at the School of Economics and Management of Changchun Normal University. Received a PhD in Economics from Jilin University in 2015. Since 2015, he has worked at the Institute of World Economics in the Northeast Asian Studies College of Jilin University. Associate professor in 2018. From July 2019 to August 2019, he was a visiting student at Southwestern Gakuin University, Japan. Director of the National Economic Association of Japan since 2019.
Research Interest
Associate Professor Xu Bo's academic interests include: country and regional economy, the main research direction is world urban economy and social development, focusing on the policy and governance of urban shrinkage in Northeast Asian, the new technological revolution and urban economic transformation and development; international politics and economy, The main focus areas are the dynamic mechanism of the evolution of the international order, the historical lessons of challenging the losers of the hegemony, and the political and economic relations between China and Japan. Published 1 monograph, participated in more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects, and published more than 10 papers in academic journals such as "The Economist" and "Modern Japanese Economy".
